FABRIZIO GRACEFFA
Né en 1979 en Belgique, Fabrizio Graceffa commence la guitare en autodidacte à l’âge de 13 ans. A l'age de 17 ans, il joue déjà dans diverses formations rock et découvre le jazz deux ans plus tard. A 19 ans il décide de poursuivre sa formation en prenant des cours privés exclusivement axés sur le jazz. En 1999, il participe au stage des Lundis d’Hortense et prend des cours avec Marco Locurcio, Paolo Radoni, Peter Hertmans, Daniel Stokart, Erwin Vann… En 2000, il fonde le groupe 7iéme Set dans lequel il est le principal compositeur et avec qui il ne cessera de multiplier les activités pendant plus de 5 ans.
La même année, il s’inscrit à l’académie de la ville de Bruxelles et suit des cours avec Paolo Loveri et Bruno Castellucci.
En 2002, il entre au conservatoire de la ville du Luxembourg et suit des cours avec Jacques Pirotton et Guy Cabay et participe à divers Master Class (Mike Mainieri, Pierre Van Dormael...). Il sortira avec un premier prix de guitare jazz trois ans plus tard. En 2004, il se consacre à la composition et forme son propre quartette avec le trompettiste Peer Baierlein, le batteur Herman Pardon et le contrebassiste Piet Verbist.
Le 09 septembre 2010, il sort, chez Mogno Music, son premier album «Stories» : premier album du Fabrizio Graceffa Quartet.​​​​
La même année, il produit le premier Ep du groupe de rock "Bes".
En 2012, il devient le guitariste du groupe Français Lenox avec qui il se produira dans quelques une des plus belles salles Parisiennes comme La Cigale, la Maroquinerie, Le centre FGO.
En 2013, tournée Franco/Suisse avec Lenox
et enregistrement de l'émission Taratata.
En 2016, Fabrizio sort sous le prestigieux label Hollandais « Challenge Records » son second album en tant que leader « U-Turn ».
La même année, le groupe obtient le « Jazz Tour » des Lundis d’Hortense et jouera dans les plus belles salles du Royaume.
En 2020, Graceffa forme un nouveau quartet avec le très demandé « Igor Gehenot » et sort son troisième album en tant que leader « Gardens ».
En 2022, il crée avec son comparse, le pianiste Igor Gehenot, le groupe de funk No Steam et enregistrent leur premier EP sous le label « Le Rideau Rouge ».

Aujourd'hui le guitariste est actif sur la scène Belge et Parisienne et a eu l'occasion de jouer et ou d'enregistrer avec Peer Baierlein, Piet Verbist, Jean Paul Estiévenart, Herman Pardon, Teun Verbruggen, Lionel Beuven, Samuel Rafalowicz, Reggie Washington, Erwin Vann, Nicolas Kummert, Raf Debacker, Jacques Pili, Santo Scinta, Marcus Weymare, Fabrizio Erba, Hervé Letor, Phillippe Cornet, Laurence Mathieu, Jennifer Scavuzzo, Sarah Letor, Olivier Bodson, Hervé Noirot...
On entend Kurt Rosenwinkel et Jim Hall, mais aussi BB King, dans le jeu de guitare de Graceffa, qui joue un jazz d’aujourd’hui, sous l’influence de tous ces maîtres. Avec, autour de lui, un band coriace : Jean-Paul Estiévenart (trompette), Nicolas Kummert (sax), Edouard Wallyn (trombone), Boris Schmidt (contrebasse), Teun Verbruggen (batterie). Born in 1979 in Belgium, Fabrizio Graceffa began playing guitar as a self-taught musician at the age of 13. By 17, he was already performing with various rock bands and discovered jazz two years later. At 19, he decided to further his education by taking private lessons exclusively focused on jazz. In 1999, he participated in the Lundis d’Hortense workshops and took lessons with Marco Locurcio, Paolo Radoni, Peter Hertmans, Daniel Stokart, Erwin Vann, and others.
In 2000, he founded the group 7ième Set, in which he was the principal composer, and with whom he continued to actively perform for more than 5 years. That same year, he enrolled at the Brussels Academy, where he studied with Paolo Loveri and Bruno Castellucci.
In 2002, he entered the Luxembourg City Conservatory, studying with Jacques Pirotton and Guy Cabay, and participated in various Master Classes (Mike Mainieri, Pierre Van Dormael, among others). Three years later, he graduated with first prize in jazz guitar.
In 2004, he focused on composition and formed his own quartet with trumpeter Peer Baierlein, drummer Herman Pardon, and double bassist Piet Verbist.
On September 9, 2010, he released his first album, "Stories," with the Fabrizio Graceffa Quartet under the Mogno Music label. That same year, he produced the first EP for the rock band "Bes."
In 2012, he became the guitarist for the French band Lenox, with whom he performed in some of the most prestigious venues in Paris, such as La Cigale, La Maroquinerie, and Le Centre FGO. In 2013, he toured France and Switzerland with Lenox and recorded an episode of the show Taratata.
In 2016, Fabrizio released his second album as a leader, "U-Turn," under the prestigious Dutch label Challenge Records. That same year, the group received the "Jazz Tour" from Lundis d’Hortense and performed in the finest venues in the kingdom.
In 2020, Graceffa formed a new quartet with the highly sought-after Igor Gehenot and released his third album as a leader, "Gardens."
In 2022, he created the funk band No Steam with his collaborator, pianist Igor Gehenot, and they recorded their first EP under the "Le Rideau Rouge" label.
